Membership

The Mid-Norfolk Railway Preservation Trust (MNR) is ran by its members. Operating a heritage railway is an expensive business and even more so as we enhance & expand the existing operations of the railway as we go through into the 21st century. The railway currents has over 1,200 members, the majority based in the United Kingdom but some internationally. Out of the 1,200 members around 380 are volunteers who give up their time freely to ensure the continued viaility & success of the railway.

You don't need to work on the railway to support it, simply being a member will help us keep The Mid-Norfolk Railway alive and operating for future generations to enjoy. If you would like to become a volunteer on the railway, and work alongside others who have the same passion, our Volunteer Co-Ordinator will be happy to assist you.

Membership Types:

We offer a variety of membership types, as can be seen below:

• Adult - for those aged between 18 and 60

• Joint Adult - for two adults living at the same address

• Junior - for those aged under 18, parent/guardian consent required

• Concession - for those who are either aged over 60, disabled or a student

• Joint Concession - for two concession living at the same address

• Family - for two adults and up to three children living at the same address

 

How to join:

You are able to sign up as a member in multiple ways, such as:

• Online with a debit/credit card - click here

• By post - Please contact us for a form to be sent to you. (Please note we can only take cheques through this method).

• By phone - Please call us at Dereham Station (01362 690633) between Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm, and one of our team will be happy to help.

• In person - On a running day, you can purchase membership at Dereham Station. 

 

Please note that membership is valid from April 1st to March 31st each year. New members joining between October & March will automatically recieve membership valid until the end of the following membership year. Please note that it can take up to 28 days to process your membership and to be approved by the railway's Trust Council.
